经常的英文攻略最怕讲成词典搬运。你真正会遇到的问题，是“为什么我写得没错却不像人说的”“正式邮件能不能用 a lot”“老是迟到该不该用 always”。这篇用问答拆开，比背表格更快上手。
看你强调什么。often 强调次数多，usually 强调常规习惯，frequently 强调高频发生且语气偏正式。比如 I often eat noodles 是我常吃面；I usually eat noodles for lunch 是午饭通常吃面；Customers frequently ask about refunds 是客户经常问退款。
横向看，often 最百搭，usually 最生活化，frequently 最适合文档和报告。你写简历、客服回复、产品说明时，frequently 有专业感；你跟朋友约饭，说 frequently 就过头了。
大多数轻松场景，用 a lot 或 pretty often。比如 I go there a lot，比 I often go there 更随口。I see him pretty often，意思是我挺常见到他，不夸张，也不冷冰冰。
如果你想表达“老这样，烦了”，用 all the time。My laptop freezes all the time，不只是经常卡，而是卡到你有情绪。这个攻略里的关键是：口语不追求高级，追求刚好。
邮件里要看对象。描述流程，用 usually：We usually reply within 24 hours。描述问题，用 frequently：This issue occurs frequently after the update。描述个人安排，用 often 也行：I often check emails in the morning。
别轻易用 always 指责别人。You always send the file late 听起来很冲。更稳的写法是 The file has arrived late several times，或者 This has happened a few times recently。英文沟通里，频率词有时比中文更容易带情绪。
别一篇文章从头 often 到尾。你可以按语义换：people often use smartphones；students usually spend time online after school；technical problems frequently appear in remote learning。三个句子分别承担不同语气。
还有一个好用替代是 tend to，意思是“倾向于”。Young people tend to check their phones before sleep，不是直接说经常，但意思接近，而且作文感更好。注意 tend to 后接动词原形。
有，我自己给学生用的是这句：习惯 usually，次数 often，正式 frequently，口语 a lot，抱怨 all the time。它不完美，但能解决八成日常句子。
举个完整对比：我经常用这个软件，口语说 I use this app a lot；工作汇报说 Our team frequently uses this tool for testing 有点别扭，不如 This tool is frequently used in testing；日常习惯说 I usually use it for notes。选词时顺手把句型也换掉，英文会自然很多。
习惯用 usually，次数多用 often，正式高频用 frequently，聊天用 a lot，抱怨用 all the time。
能表达“倾向于、往往会”，适合作文和分析句，但它不是频率副词，后面要接动词原形。
别直接说 You always arrive late。可以说 This has happened a few times recently，语气更客观。
